Our data promise
We want every number and label to tell you what it means, where it comes from, and what remains unknown. The launch dataset is a demonstration of the platform, not a verified travel directory.

The headline is a rounded weighted mean of 13 editable editorial assessments, each from 0 to 100. It is not a user rating, an official certification, or a safety guarantee. Missing required scores produce no headline score. An editor can change weights, but the percentages must total 100.

Choose one to eight people, including at least one adult. Rent uses a monthly apartment band for 1–2, 3–4, 5–6 or 7–8 people. Other expenses combine a fixed household amount, a per-adult amount and a per-child amount. Child rates do not vary by age.
Each category has a lower and upper estimate. We sum the lower bounds and upper bounds separately. Comparison and matching use the midpoint as the typical monthly estimate. The optional remote-work setting adds exactly one coworking membership, regardless of the number of adults.
Flights, visa fees, insurance, school and childcare are excluded. Separate nightly hotel, meal and transport unit prices are reference figures; they are not added again to the monthly total.
Money is stored in exact local-currency minor units. EUR values use a manually maintained rate expressed as local units per euro. Both costs and exchange rates show their dates. No live exchange-rate service is used.
We start with the weights above. Low, Medium, High and Very high halal/prayer importance multiply the respective weight by 0.5, 1, 1.5 and 2. Safety uses 0.5, 1 and 1.5. Family style doubles the family weight. Couple style increases accommodation weight by 50%. Remote work or Digital Nomad style doubles internet weight once.
Affordability is replaced by budget fit: 100 × min(1, your household budget / typical monthly estimate), with weight 20. Requesting a beach adds a 100-or-0 beach score with weight 10. We then normalize all weights and calculate the rounded weighted mean.
Over-budget destinations may still score well on other priorities; we always flag the cost difference. Destinations with incomplete inputs are excluded. Ties favor lower costs, then alphabetical destination names. Match percentages express fit to your stated inputs, not a prediction or guarantee.
Search indexing is disabled at launch. Demo records, unpublished content, empty categories, filters and comparison combinations are excluded from sitemaps. Only substantive non-demo content with editorial approval can become indexable.
We do not fabricate reviews or ratings. The MVP has no public review submission feature. A sourced external rating may only be shown for a real record with its source and review count.
